Mulvane's location, the meeting point for several rail lines, was selected because it is centrally located between larger communities, a means to distribute supplies to the people living in the area, when horse and buggies took the better part of several days to travel to the larger communities. Mulvane is still recognized for its location between these larger communities.

Due to its historically favorable location, Mulvane is an excellent reference to tell others about the interesting things to do and see here in Mulvane and south central Kansas. Like other small communities, Mulvane offers its own attractions and businesses. It is also a convenient stop to and from many other interesting, unique and historical attractions within a half day's drive of Mulvane. This site is owned and operated by Swope Design (Mike and Lynette Swope). Lynette (Baca) moved here to Mulvane in the 3rd grade in 1979. Mike moved to Mulvane in 1992 to attend Wichita State University for his Master's degree. We reside in Mulvane and are raising our own family here. We like it here. And we believe that Mulvane and south central Kansas has a lot to offer families and visitors alike. There is much to do and see in our great state. We hope you agree and return to this site often.
